These are our readings of the regulations. They are not the regulations.
Every rule listed here is Laddoo’s plain-language reading of a published Indian instrument, written so that a shopper can act on it while holding a packet. A reading is an interpretation, and ours carries no legal force. Where our wording and the instrument differ, the instrument is right and we are wrong: the notification in the Gazette of India, and the text the issuing authority publishes, are the authority.
Laddoo is not a regulator and is not accredited by one. We have no connection to the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, and nothing here is endorsed, approved, licensed or reviewed by FSSAI or by any government body. A flag on a product page is a prompt to read the pack for yourself - never a determination that a food, a label or a company is unlawful, and never medical advice.
If a rule here misreads its source, tell us. We will correct it and record the correction against the rule, so that the change is visible to the next person who reads this page.
These rule statements are shown in English. They have not been translated yet. A regulatory statement translated by a machine is worse than one left in English, because the translation is what you would rely on - so these wait for a person. Clause references and Gazette identifiers stay in their published form in every language.
